It's Friday...

Well, today is Friday and all is well. I had a most delightful lunch with my old college roommate, Heather. It was so fun catching up. I mean, we live 15 minutes from each other and this is probably the 3 or 4 time I've seen her in 5 years. We are so bad!! I've got to be a better friend. I had my second interview yesterday and it went really well. The lady and I had really good conversation and I learned more of what the job entailed and that kind of thing. She said they were very close to a decision and I should hear something next week. She called today to get a few more references, so if she calls you, be honest and tell her how GREAT I am!! Hahahahah! We are expecting some friends from MS, but I haven't heard of their arrival yet. They should be here, but I'm at home letting my rug rats rest. They have VBS tonight and need the rest or the teachers might not get anything accomplished. Oh, I finally finished my book Pride & Prejudice today. It is so good. It just makes me want to watch both of my movies again. I have the new one and the old one. I just love them both!! Now I'm going to start another Jane Austen novel, Emma. I know nothing about it. I'm very excited. I've heard good things. So, it should be good. I think I'll call and see if Mandy and Kayla have arrived and get my things together so when the girls wake, we can go see them. Have a great day.

The Beginning of the week

It's Monday and only 6:45PM and it seems like it should be at least 8 by now. Today has been sort of long, but pretty good. Quick catch ups - Mamalene is being moved out of ICU. I believe she is getting stronger every day. Mom and Ash made it home today after seeing some of the family in MS. I also got a call from the college for a 2nd interview. We had a great time last night, we had our Sunday School class over for pizza and games. We're teaching a singles class or should I say Mac is teaching and I'm his support person. We are really enjoying the class. The guys and girls are a lot fun and really great people. We have a lot of college aged but a few 30 somethings. A really Great Group!

Today I actually made time to sit down and read some of my Pride & Prejudice book. I'm so excited. I hope to finish the 2nd volume tonight. I purchased another Jane Austen book and I don't know the story and I can't wait to read it. I'm trying to enhance my reading. I've been slack at reading, so now as I approach 30, I'm trying to do better and set a good example for the girls that reading is fun and enjoyable! I took some pics of Emm and Kaylee today. Emm in her Cinderella dress and Kaylee spinning. I'll try to get them posted by tomorrow. The house is finally quiet with the kids gone, so I'm'll go read some more.

Another week gone.

This week was pretty much a blur. Mac went up to Johnson City, TN to see his grandmother, Mamalene. She had to have heart surgery. The surgery went well. The doctor said her heart looked great. Everyone who met Mrs. Pauline Teal, knew that, that she has a wonderful heart full of love. I pray her health continues to improve.

I had a job interview this week too. I think it went okay, it's been a long time since I'd interviewed - 5 years- and I've never been interviewed by a committee. There were 5 ladies who had a 3 pages of questions to ask me. Most of the questions I think I did pretty well, but there were about 2-3 questions I didn't know at the time, but have learned what they are for the future. Thanks to my Great Friend Adrienne. She's my tutor!! HaHa! I worked all week trying to keep Emm and Kaylee busy while trying to complete a brochure, postcard, and newspaper for the college I interviewed with - it was another part of the interview - they wanted to see my capabilties. I did all this while designing billboards for my own clients and so my days are just a blur.

My mom and brother, Ashley, went to Mississippi for a family reunion. I hated I couldn't make it, but sometimes you just don't get to do what you want to do - you do the things you HAVE to do. It's not alway fun being a grown-up. hahah. Please say a prayer that if this job is meant to be then it will work out, but if it's not the right job for me, then the door will be shut and another will open. Keep Mac in your prayers too, he is thinking about a complete career change and going back to school to be a teacher. I think he would make a great teacher. Things a kind of up in the air right now and we're letting God direct our path. It is hard to sit and wait, so please keep us in your prayers.

Happy Birthday Papala!!

This weekend we celebrated Mac's dad's birthday. We had a wonderful time. The four of us along with my parents, our sweet cousins Madelyn and Macy and Uncle Tracy and Aunt Barbra from Johnson City all celebrated with Mark and Paula Saturday night. Paula made her famous "Crummy Chicken", scalloped potatoes, salad, broccoli casserole, corn on the cobb, and for dessert we had Mark's favorie, Boston Creme Pie. All the food was so delicious!!! It was fun sitting around sharing stores and watching all the girls run Mac to death! Here are a few photos from our night. Somehow Aunt Barbara didn't get her picture taken. Oh well, neither did I. Enjoy!

It's me again...

Well it's finally Friday. I've decided to start looking for a job. I've been out of FULL time employment for a little over 4 years. I've had the opportunity to have 2 children and start my freelance business. I've really enjoyed being with my girls, but I want more. I've started looking, but not really anything. I've talked to a few people and put my feelers out there. But anyway, the girls are growing, Kaylee went for her 15 month checkup this week had to get 2 shots but was a real trooper. Emm went with us and helped me take care of her sis. Hopefully, this weekend I'll get my photos downloaded to the old computer and size them up and post a few. I know you guys don't care to read all the text, you just want pictures. I promise to get you some!! I've had the question asked, why did you start a blog? I have to admit it was peer pressure. My friends are doing it and I didn't want to be left out. No, REALLY - I just wanted to have a place to connect with friends and family far away. Also I'll have a log to print out and have for the girls scrapbook of my words and thoughts and dreams. So, please feel free to comment anytime. Well, I think Kaylee is getting into the dog food again, I better go. Until next time...
